Power Quality Analyzers

The RPM Power Recorder

Every measurement, every event, on every cycle, all the time – without thresholds

From set-up to finished reports, the RPM Power Recorder is the complete solution to your portable power monitoring needs. The Power Recorder analyzer is all you need to monitor, study and document:

The Power Recorder features:

•   Loading and load interaction
•   Power consumption and demand
•   Sags, swells, flicker or transient events
•   Ground currents
•   Phase relationships, including phase imbalance
•   Frequency stability
•   Harmonics and noise
•   4 voltage channels – three phases plus neutral-to-ground. Measures up to 600     Vrms, 1000 Vpeak.
•   5 current channels allow you to monitor neutral and ground current, in addition     to phases
•   Extruded metal enclosure, and designed to handle a life-time of use
•   Ethernet interface makes downloads fast and easy
•   Capture up to 6,000 simultaneous voltage events with simultaneous current in     each monitoring session
•   Multi-session option allows for 16 sessions, effectively multiplying event     capture capability to 96,000 events
•   128 samples per cycle — on every cycle
•   Supports single-phase, wye, delta, split phase, high-leg delta, open-leg delta,     and other common power systems
•   Power Consumption option adds Watts, VA, VAR, PF trends and     measurements
•   Harmonics and Flicker option measures harmonics up to 63rd
•   Optional 2 MS/s sampling system for capturing and viewing high-speed     transients
•   Nylon and hard-sided cases, mounting brackets, a wide variety of voltage and     current probes are available.

Fluke Power Quality Analyzers

Pinpoint power quality problems faster, safer and in greater detail

The Fluke 434 and 433 three-phase power quality analyzers help you locate, predict, prevent and troubleshoot problems in power distribution systems. These easy-to-use handheld tools have many innovative features to give you the details to pinpoint problems faster and safer.

Monitors:

•   Scope - The Scope function provides a clear view of current and voltage     waveform shapes.
•   V-Amps-HZ - Voltage and frequency
•   Dips & Swells - Dips (Sags) and Swells may indicate a weak power distribution     system.
•   Harmonics - Indicates the harmonic frequency. Harmonics can also cause     transformers to overheat.
•   Current distortion - Expected in a system with non-linear loads like DC power     supplies.
•   K-factor indicates the amount of harmonic currents and can help in selecting     transformers.
•   Power - This mode can be used to record apparent power (kVA) of a     transformer over several hours.
•   Flicker - Refers to rapid change (to fast to see) in overhead lightning resulting     in human visual annoyance, headaches and eye-strain.
•   Voltage unbalance - Causes high unbalanced currents in stator windings,     resulting in overheating and reduced motor life. Unbalance exceeding 2 % is     considered too high.
•   Inrush Current - is the large spike most commonly caused by a motor load     coming on-line.
